Ring Nuts

Ring nuts are like eyebolts and serve as slings to lift parts. Ring nuts have no screws but an internal thread inside the ring nut. This can then be screwed on everywhere.

What would modern construction be without ring nuts? This question is certainly justified, because ring nuts have been used for a very long time, which can be traced back to a tradition, on machines and technical equipment, as well as on ships and port technology as standard equipment thousands of times every day. In this article we would like to give you some information about the ring nut, how it is constructed exactly, how it can be manufactured and from which materials ring nuts are used. However, these nuts with a ring are mainly used in industrial technical applications and less in private areas, such as hobbyists and model builders. So let us start with the general construction of ring nuts made of metal, steel or stainless steel. A ring nut is always a structure formed into a ring, which has a material thickening on the underside, in which the threaded hole is inserted. These threads can be M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10, M12 or M14 as well as M18, M20 or M22 and M24 or M27 as well as M30 and M34, M37 or M42. A ring nut as load element can always be firmly screwed into a technical system or a motor on a set screw. This ring nut can be screwed on as a temporary load transport element or remain directly and permanently on the device or machine. The advantage of these ring nuts is then that they can be attached directly to the impact chains when changing position or location and can thus be transported away directly. When manufacturing ring nuts made of steel or stainless steel (V2A or V4A), two methods are always used. On the one hand it is the manufacturing possibility, which is somewhat cheaper, the casting of ring nuts. A mould is cast with steel or stainless steel and the metal ring nut is finished. The other possibility is forging. In this form of production the rings have to be forged from a full steel block. But we would like to give you some more information about the production later on, so that you can also learn in the last article how the ring nuts can be made of metal (steel or stainless steel). In the next article we would like to go into more detail about our stock programme and the associated range of ring nuts made of stainless steel and steel and tell you which parts we offer for sale in our online shop.

Our range of ring nuts - buy online in our online shop

Ring Nuts Stainless Steel V2A V4ARing nuts were introduced to the market when the industrial revolution from the 18th to the 19th century began its triumphant advance. With the emergence and construction of technical equipment and machinery, designers were also faced with the choice of having to think about how to attach and transport these increasingly heavy goods? The ring nuts made of stainless steel or steel in cast or forged form were drilled. A simple solid ring with a threaded hole to screw them securely to machine parts. From this time on, an inexpensive, but also highly resilient stop cement was invented and is still used today in modern civilisation in the transport sector. This also explains the ever increasing demand for ring nuts made of steel (metal) or stainless steel in these moving industries. When we started to build up our company, we started to supply our customers in Germany and the rest of Europe with the commercially available fastening elements and so, of course, at some point, the questions came up whether we could be able to include stainless steel ring nuts in our stock program. Of course, we quickly followed this request in order to be able to supply our customers with these slings as well. We have mastered this task and have found delivery rates that can supply us with the right ring nuts in a high quality and in larger quantities. Thus we offer our customers all over Europe the possibility to buy their metal ring nuts around the clock in our online shop at a reasonable price. So that the purchase can be done fast and uncomplicated, it is important that all your data on our domain is stored safely. With the conversion to the secure SSL certificate, the data can no longer be accessed, as everything is securely encrypted. In this context, we would like to explain to you briefly how a purchase of your ring nuts should proceed so that your order can be delivered quickly and easily to your home or company. Did you also come to us via a search engine using the search word "ring nuts" and found us? Then you now have all the time and peace to put together all your metal ring nuts and put them in your shopping cart. If the first order section is completed, you now have the possibility to create your customer account with us in the login. To do so, log in and enter all your data into our shop system. If you would now like to complete the order for your ring nuts, simply follow the instructions in your shopping cart. Now you will be shown a number of payment options and you should simply choose one. By completing your purchase of the ring nuts, you confirm your order and you will receive an order confirmation from us after successful payment. Now we can also become active and process your order and put it together in our warehouse and send it to you.

The production of ring nuts

Ring Nuts Stainless Steel V2A V4AAs we have already explained, ring nuts are indispensable as load elements in industrial applications today. The fact is that there must first be a production of ring nuts so that these heavyweights can also be bolted to machines or systems and motors. So that the hooks of the load cranes can be easily hooked in later. In the first article of this article we have already touched on the production of ring nuts, but this topic was only touched on to some extent. In this article we would like to take a closer look at the two different production processes, whereby the ring nuts as cast version and as forged version are considered more closely. Let us start with the cast ring nuts. These are produced in a wax mould as wax ring nuts. Once this process is complete, the wax ring nuts are dipped in a layer of sludge, which is then burnt out in a furnace. During this process, the shell becomes absolutely stable and the hard wax is released under the influence of heat. All that remains is the shell of the future ring nut. Now this cover can be poured out with the stainless steel as a liquid form in V2A or V4A. After cooling down, the cover is knocked off and the front surface of the ring nut is milled flat. Then the respective threaded hole is drilled in and the cast ring nut is finished. Forged ring nuts are forged from a round material to form a ring. This process takes place under high pressure under large presses and drop forges. The structure of the ring nuts remains absolutely stable, which means that the ring nuts can be subjected to even greater lifting forces. Note: Cast ring nuts are less expensive to manufacture, but they are less durable. Forged ring nuts are more expensive to manufacture but much more resilient in terms of lifting forces if these stop elements can be bolted to equipment. We have thus also been able to show you how ring nuts can be manufactured in two ways. If we receive your purchase of a metal ring nut, we can process your order and ship it to you.
