Hook screws are now a common means of attaching special fasteners to all kinds of materials and hanging or attaching all kinds of things to them. The word "hook screw" has certainly been heard or perceived by everyone. But many are not sure what such screws, which look like a hook, are actually used for and how they are constructed. In this article we would also like to explain in more detail which material such special screws are made of as hook screws. However, we would like to start with the context of the actual hook bolt. What exactly is a hook screw? A hook screw is a specially shaped structure which ensures that at the end or at the beginning there is a curvature on the screw which is designed as a hook. This hook on the screw can take on different shapes. As a common form of a hook screw, the hook is designed so that it is angled 90 degrees to the screw body. Thus the curved hook is 10 mm high and can be used for many tasks. Many use the hook screw in their own four walls to hang pictures or to attach ropes or cords. But also on farmsteads the hook screw is used that clotheslines are hung up. The places of use are so varied and the use cannot be limited to a single application. The second form of the hook screw is the three-quarter bent hook screw, which is bent as a three-quarter ring and a third is open. A rope or other attachment can then be inserted into this one third. Such forms of the hook bolts serve to ensure firm receptacles for all kinds of things. The last and third version is the one that forms an eyelet that makes 1.25 turns and represents a so-called safety hook. Such safety hook screws are used everywhere, for example where safe eyelets are required. Such safety hook screws can be found wherever safe eyelets are needed. This includes the suspension of a hanging bag from a ceiling. The rope or loop must be safe and must not jump out unintentionally. These hook screws made of steel or stainless steel are used as V2A or V4A material. Whereby the stainless steel hook screw forms the better variation and also prevents a rust build-up, even if the hook screws have to be inserted freely. However, if you want to use the hook screws close to coastal regions, it is better to use the hook screws made of stainless steel V4A. They are also resistant to salt water.

The production of hook screws
In the last section, as with the other articles in our Onliene Shop, you will find the production of the hook screws. Such unusual screws are formed on special wire bending or forming machines and become hook screws. In the past, old cam disk machines were also used for this production, but they worked very slowly and usually required a very long set-up time. Today, modern CNC wire bending machines or forming machines with a CNC control are used, which can double or triple the production many times over and thus offer a high level of economic efficiency. A wire bending machine or a forming machine is always equipped with a loader which contains a round drum. This drum always holds the bare stainless steel wire of the hook screw or the steel screw. The CNC machine must be set up so that the machine later knows exactly what the sequences and zero points are like. Once the CNC program is loaded, the production of the stainless steel hook screws can begin. At this machine start, the stainless steel wire is inserted into the machine and first the length of the entire hook screw is cut off. Now the actual hook of the screw is formed by a clever bending and kinking device. Once the hook has been formed on the hook screw, the next step is the rolling of the wood thread on the hook screw. This, however, is one of the most complicated work processes, because the almost finished hook screw must now be inserted between two opposing rollers, which have the form with the thread, or held in between under pressure. Due to the enom high rolling pressure, the thread is now transferred to the hook screw. Now the point of production is reached where the hook screw falls into the collecting basin and is stored in our warehouse. If now an order comes in from you over our on-line Shop, then we can dispatch the goods directly from our camp to you. After a few days you will have the hook screws in your mailbox.
