Disc Springs

Disc springs are springs that are constructed like a disc. Such disc springs are convex in the middle and are always mounted opposite each other. The material used in the production of disc springs is steel or stainless steel.

Today we would like to dedicate ourselves to disc springs and explain to you in this article a little more about such spring elements. Certainly many have heard of metal disc springs, but for many it is difficult to classify these elements, so that you know what disc springs made of steel or stainless steel can be used for. But it is precisely this section of knowledge that we would like to pursue today and address the following questions. On the one hand, we would like to tell you a few things about the exact use of disc springs and, of course, take a closer look at the materials that are often used for such elements. But this is not the only important aspect, so we would like to spin the thread further and extend your knowledge about the production and manufacture of disc springs. As a final point, we would like to mention the composition of our stock range of disc springs and the possibilities of the quickest way of an uncomplicated and smooth purchase on our platform (Online Shop). Let us now surprise you with our knowledge of disc springs. We would like to start with the construction and application as well as the assembly of disc springs. Basically, it must be said that a stainless steel disc spring or even a steel disc spring looks at first glance as if it were a K-disc, which you simply put under a screw head and that's it. But this is not the case! In principle, it is like a K-washer but with a serious difference. The spring washer is convex from the inner diameter to the outer diameter. Another important aspect is that these elements are hardened and therefore act and are used like a spring. Hence the name, disc spring. The following should be said about the application or assembly of disc springs. These parts are packed under a screw head and can be mounted or installed as opposing curved discs or also arranged as packages. For example, two or three disc springs are packed in the same direction and then three packages are arranged opposite each other in the same direction. These different arrangements cause a weak or strong spring effect. These spring elements are also often used as pretensioning options for screws that require short spring deflections or vibrations that have small oscillations. As regards the material, disc springs are always used as standard elements as bright or burnished steel to spring steel. More and more popular are also the disc springs which are used in the stainless steel version. This is a stainless steel alloy of V2A or V4A.

Our stock program of disc springs - buy online in our online shop

Disc Springs Stainless Steel V2A V4AAs you can see, disc springs made of stainless steel or steel can be used almost everywhere in industrial production and are used as short spring packages with strong spring force everywhere in machines and technical equipment. These spring elements perform their tasks safely and effectively. But not only the industry requires these elements more and more often for the maintenance of machines and devices, but also in the private sector these parts are used more and more often. These elements offer hobby designers perfect application possibilities also in model making of trucks and other commercial vehicles. We have been successfully offering the disc springs to our customers from Germany and the rest of Europe for many years through our online shop and therefore our customers have the possibility to buy their metal disc springs quickly and cheaply through our online shop. The purchase is designed in such a way that even smaller purchase quantities are possible. So our customers can buy their stainless steel spring elements from us around the clock. So that the purchase over our online shop can also run off surely, we are naturally also anxious to stow away our customer data always surely and so that it remains also in such a way, we converted our entire Domain some time ago to the safe SSL certificate. The shop will now suggest a number of payments from which you can choose one. With your purchase confirmation and your payment of the disc springs the purchase is perfect. Now you will receive the order confirmation from our server.

The production of disc springs

Disc Springs Stainless Steel V2A V4AIn the last section, we now come to the manufacture or production of disc springs made of stainless steel or steel. We would like to pay some attention to this section as well, because many people know how to use disc springs and also how to use them in different package applications and in the counter-rotations below the screw head, but most people do not know anything about the production and manufacture of disc springs. We would like to clarify this fact today and shed some light on the dark, so that you know how such springs can be produced today on machines that meet the technical requirements and therefore also the economic efficiency that comes with the production of such spring elements. Today, as already mentioned, modern and fast CNC machines are used, which correspond to the economic efficiency of today's conditions in the production of disc springs. These are punching or forming machines which have an upper punch and a lower punch and thus trigger a punching process by combining these two forms. All these mechanical processes are controlled by CNC programming. The data for the production of disc springs are stored as parameters. Outside the machine is usually the drum, which contains the raw material in the form of strip. The spring material in the form of a spring steel strip is coiled on the drum. This feeding process allows a continuous production of all disc springs without having to stop even for a short time. Thus the machine can be set up once and the raw strip steel can be fed. Afterwards, when the CNC program has been loaded, the disc spring production can be started. The CNC punching machine starts to punch the individual spring washers out of the steel strip. With each stroke of the machine one disc spring is punched out. In this punching process, at the end of the stroke, the disc is simultaneously "pressed over" to form a disc disc underneath the machining platform, so that the curvature is created. All finished disc discs then fall into the storage container and can be collected. If there are thousands of these parts in the box, they are sorted and sent to our warehouses so that your order can be shipped with the corresponding disc springs with a purchase via our online shop. After a few days you should then have the order in your hands.
