Adjusting Rings

Adjusting rings are axial limits on shafts and axles. An adjusting ring is used to secure components on shafts and axles against lateral displacement. Steel or stainless steel is used in the manufacture of Adjusting rings.

Adjusting rings made of stainless steel are round sleeves with a bore, which have a fairly thick outer wall. In principle, a spacer sleeve or a distance sleeve is very similar to the Adjusting rings. So there is also a threaded hole in the adjusting ring which runs through the outer body of the ring. This tapped hole has a stud bolt inside, which sits on a shaft or axle for a tight fit. This seat is limited to the fact that axial assemblies, be it ball bearings or bushings or other components can no longer be freely moved laterally on shafts or axles (Adjusting rings). The adjusting ring also belongs to the locking elements. Today, stainless steel Adjusting rings are very often used in all mechanical engineering companies, in special machine construction, on all moving parts that have to be secured against lateral slipping and in the food industry. The Adjusting rings can take over the function of securing without a groove on the shaft or axle. Similar to the circlip which requires a groove to provide axial locking, the Adjusting rings can perform this task without any grooves. The stud screw screwed in at the side has the advantage that the position on the shaft or axle can be carried out at any desired position by the adjusting ring. Even a later correction of the position, either because there is still too much play to the component or for whatever reason, only the stud bolt has to be loosened and the new position can be taken. Stainless steel Adjusting rings are flexible locking elements which allow a quick change of components by loosening and dismantling the Adjusting rings. Our delivery program of stainless steel Adjusting rings - buy online in our online shop

Adjusting Rings Stainless Steel V2A V4AAs Adjusting rings made of stainless steel are very often used in companies and in the private sector, we keep all common sizes of Adjusting rings in our stock range. This enables a quick delivery to customers. As the smallest Adjusting rings made of stainless steel in V2A, we keep in stock for shafts and axles for a diameter of 4 mm up to the largest set collar of 60 mm. We thus cover all common sizes for the industry. Of course you will also find all intermediate sizes in our shop. Our stock assortment consists exclusively of stainless steel V2A or V4A. In order to carry out a purchase or an order in our online shop quickly and efficiently, we converted our entire system to the encrypted transmission of your data some time ago. It does not matter whether you need a small quantity of Adjusting rings or larger quantities. To carry out the order, please put all articles into the shopping cart by setting the quantity. If all products are in the composition, then you are passed on around the payment system suitable for you to select. Once you have chosen the correct payment method for you, you will be redirected to the corresponding secure website. Once we have received your order, all goods will be assembled in our warehouse and sent to the dispatch centre. After a few days, you should receive your order to be installed on the technical equipment (Adjusting rings).

The assembly of Adjusting rings

Adjusting Rings Stainless Steel V2A V4AThe assembly of stainless steel Adjusting rings is actually simple and straightforward, but Adjusting rings can be mounted on shafts and axles in two different ways. The first and most common way of mounting a Adjusting rings is to fix it to the shafts without any tools except the stud bolt. When you have received the delivery from us with the ordered Adjusting rings, you can start with the immediate assembly. Before doing so, please check the shaft or axle carefully to make sure that it is free of dirt and that the component to be secured against axial play is clean and without dirt particles. If this is the case, the adjusting ring can be pushed onto the shaft. Make sure that the stud screw has been turned back far enough so that it does not protrude inwards when pushed on and thus blocks the pushing on. If this is the case, turn the stud back a little and try again to attach the Adjusting rings. Push the Adjusting rings against the component to be secured with a little pressure. Now secure the axial position by tightening the stud screw. The assembly is now complete. The second possibility to secure a stainless steel Adjusting rings is as follows: if the position is fixed on the component, unscrew the stud and drill the shaft or axle with a small drill bit and the machine (drill bit must be smaller than the core diameter of the thread to avoid damage). Now remove the Adjusting rings and use a slightly larger drill to place a cone in the shaft (about 3-4 mm deep). Now put the Adjusting rings back into position and turn the stud bolt into the hole on the shaft. The advantage of this method of fastening a Adjusting rings is that the position cannot be shifted, even if vibrations occur. The assembly is now complete.

The production of adjusting rings made of stainless steel

In order to produce Adjusting rings made of stainless steel, technical machines and equipment are always required in order to carry out the steel processing with high repeatability. The machines we are talking about are lathes which have to be controlled by a CNC program. In the past, Adjusting rings and other turned products were manufactured on so-called cam-type lathes, but the disadvantage is that these mechanical lathes are much too slow and require an enormous amount of effort to convert these machines. Today, stainless steel Adjusting rings are produced on CNC lathes exclusively for economic reasons. In order to reduce the costs for turned parts even further, suppliers are still happy to invest in loading systems that are positioned behind the CNC lathe, so that automatic bar feeding of the raw material is ensured even in night shift mode. The advantage is that Adjusting rings can then also be produced in "unmanned" operation, thus further reducing the cost of turned parts. The Adjusting rings are always manufactured from the appropriate raw material, which will have the same outside diameter as the later Adjusting rings. These bars are placed in the loader and are then fed into the lathe chuck. The machine then processes the set CNC program and drills and turns the Adjusting rings. Cross holes are also drilled and the threads are cut. When the adjusting ring is almost finished, it is cut off and falls into the collection container. Now the Adjusting rings are ready for dispatch and sale in the trade.
