Welding Nuts

Welding nuts are nuts which can be welded or welded to components or sheets. Welding nuts are simply placed on the hole and can then be welded on all around. The material used is always steel or stainless steel.

Welding nuts also belong to the large family of nuts. Welding nuts are made of a square material as standard. However, there are also welding-nuts with a hexagon, or welding-nuts with a surface. These nuts are used in industry and plant construction, as well as in tank construction and in the processing of thin-walled sheet metal throughout Europe and the rest of the world. The output of welding nuts - thin-walled material - this can be, for example, sheets of steel or stainless steel, where welding nuts are attached to all future fixing points, where screw connections will later be used. Here the weld nut replaces the thin sheet metal at the point where the screw can later be screwed in. The problem with thin-walled sheet metal is that no thread can be cut into it. The material is simply too thin for this, because it would then only hold one thread of the screw and this would tear out at the slightest stress. In order to prevent this effectively, weld nuts are used. The nut can simply be placed on the sheet metal for welding and welded cleanly onto the sheet metal by means of a weld seam. Now the through-hole through the sheet metal can be produced by means of the core diameter of the threaded hole and then the thread is cut through by the welding nut made of stainless steel and the sheet metal (in the welding nut only recut). The nut on the sheet metal is finished. The screw connection in the welding nut can then withstand normal loads again. The different types - and the production of welding nuts

Welding Nuts Stainless Steel V2A V4AOf course, as mentioned above, there is not only one type of welding nuts that we can supply. As the standard welding nut, the square welding nut is still in continuous use because it can be used anywhere and can be installed without any problems. The second option is the nut as a hexagonal nut, which is to be understood in the same way as the square nut. Another, but actually more rare nut is the welding nut with wings. This nut is similar to a normal nut, but it has a plate surface on the front face. This surface is only used to attach the nut to sheet metal and other tarpaulin elements. This element can also be attached with a spot welding machine. Of course, we would also like to say a few words about how these welding nuts are manufactured. Many people work with them every day, but often they do not know how they are made. Basically, all welding nuts are turned parts that have to be produced on lathes. For this purpose, the lathe has a loader attached which can pick up the raw material goods and load them automatically according to the lathe's requirements. This considerably reduces the cost of producing the nuts for welding on. As a result, the best prices can be passed on to you, the customer. The raw material used is always a square or hexagonal steel, which already has the right size of key flats. This means that only the hole needs to be drilled and the thread cut. The welding nut is finished. Now it has to be cleaned and can be stored in the warehouse. Afterwards the nuts are still waiting for us to deliver them to you.
