Clamping Levers

Clamping levers are fastening elements that can secure components in position. The clamping lever has a longer arm so that the force of clamping is easy to apply with the same force. Clamping levers are available in steel, stainless steel and also in plastic.

This article will deal exclusively with clamping levers, which are essential for assembly in any manufacturing industry today. However, these very helpful clamping elements or tensioning elements also belong to the large group of fastening elements, just like the normal screws. But there is a serious difference between a screw and a clamping lever. In this article we would like to explain the exact construction of clamping levers, the materials used and also the different elements that our stock range has in store for you. In a further section we will also deal with the assembly and in the last section with the production of these elements. Let us now begin with the detailed construction of such clamping elements and their mode of operation. Usually there are also two parts installed on each clamping lever, which are clearly visible at first sight. Of course, there are other parts as well, but we will come to those later. The decisive element on a clamping lever is always the fastening screw, which is placed under the actual lever. This is the most important part, which has to hold the components together and is of course also responsible for the actual clamping and releasing. The screw of the clamp itself is constructed in such a way that it has a head area, where usually always a multi-tooth element is attached. Above the head there is a threaded hole which can accommodate the later screws, which can hold the upper clamping lever part and thus enable the locking function. On the multi-tooth element there is a piece of screw shaft and the adjacent thread. Above it is the clamping lever itself, which is engaged in the multi-tooth element. The actual clamping lever can be brought into new locking positions by lifting it up. A spring is located in the head of the clamping lever, which holds the lever securely in the multitooth element again and again. The spring is secured with a small screw and the lever is thus secured against jumping out. The materials that can be used for the clamping lever are plastic, aluminium or steel or stainless steel V2A or also V4A. In the following article, we will of course come to our stock of metal and plastic clamping levers.

Clamping levers Metal Plastic Stainless Steel V2A V4AClamping levers made of metal, steel, stainless steel (V2A or V4A) or plastic or even aluminium are nowadays fitted in all devices and other important parts or machine parts to enable certain tasks, such as loosening and tightening of a screw connection that does not require any tools. A really very useful task. So the demand for clamping levers has been growing more and more, as far as the demand of the industry is concerned, as well as partly not to neglect the private persons. For this reason it is very important that metal clamping levers and plastic clamping levers are always available in a certain selection, so that the demand can always be met. This is not always easy, but it is possible. Ambesten such a clamping lever can be sold well over the online shop selection. For this reason, we have decided to include the clamping levers in our stock range, so that we now offer our customers in Germany and the rest of Europe the possibility to buy their clamping levers quickly and cheaply through our online shop. This creates more freedom when shopping. So that all can be made safe, it is important that your stored data is also kept safe. So we have decided to change the entire website, www.edelstahldepot.de to a secure encryption, so that all data can be securely exported to our merchandise management system. This only has advantages when handling your data when you buy your clamping levers made of metal, steel, stainless steel or even plastic or aluminium. While we are on the subject of shopping, let us also say a few words about how an order process should work, so that you can buy your goods quickly and easily from us and we can all send them to you together. If you have found us via a search engine using the keyword "clamping lever", you can now select all the products we offer and place all the goods in the shopping basket. After this purchase process you can now create your account with us and enter all your data. If you would like to complete the order of your clamping levers, you now have the possibility to follow the instructions in the shopping cart and in one of the next sections you will come to a point where you will see the payment options. When you purchase your levers, choose the best one for you and pay for the goods. After your final payment, your goods will be shipped from our warehouse.

The production of clamping levers

Clamping levers Metal Plastic Stainless Steel V2A V4AIn the last section of this article, as is usually the case, we will deal with the manufacture of these clamping levers. So we would like to give you a small insight how clamping levers made of metal or plastic or steel as well as stainless steel or aluminium can be peroduced. As everyone knows, a clamping lever must first be produced so that it can be fitted to any parts or machine components. In this section we would like to shed some more light on the dark so that you can roughly know what the production processes of such highly complex manufacturing systems can look like. We would like to start as always with the screw part of the clamping lever. This must always be manufactured on a CNC lathe and usually a loading system is also connected, which is directly in communication with the lathe. When the correct material for the production of the clamping lever has been inserted, only the CNC program has to be loaded. Now the first thing that can be done is always the turning of the individual thicknesses of the material. The next step is the knurling or milling of the multiply. Then the thread of the screw must be cut. Once this process is completed, the recess can be made so that the screw separates from the rest of the material. In a new clamping process, the mounting hole for the screw can now be drilled into the multi-tooth adapter at the rear. Now the clamping lever screw is ready and can fall into the collection container. To produce the clamping lever yourself, two different production processes are required. For the production of plastic clamping levers, a mould has to be made, which is injected on an extruder machine. If the material of the clamping lever is catastrophic, the mould can be opened. The clamping lever is finished. If a steel or stainless steel or aluminium clamping lever is manufactured, the production situation is slightly different. In this process, a wax clamping lever must first be produced. This is made of hard wax and can now be dipped into a sludge liquid. These levers are now put into a furnace. When burning out the sludge, the layer becomes very hard and the wax evaporates. The cover can now be filled with liquid steel-aluminium or stainless steel V2A or V4A. If the material is solid, the mould can be broken and the finishing work such as grinding and polishing of the clamping lever can be done. If the drill holes are also drilled and the multiple segment is inserted, the assembly to a finished clamping lever can begin.
