The rampa sleeves are made of stainless steel. The external thread is very coarse to provide a perfect grip in soft materials such as wood or plastic. The stainless steel sleeve is simply screwed into the material in question. The sleeve has a slit for easy insertion of a screwdriver. The inside of the sleeve has a metric thread to tighten a machine thread with a screw. This makes it easy to make a connection between a soft material and the fastening of another workpiece by means of a machine screw.
