Machine Feets

Machine feet are used on machines or also on tables or frames. Such machine feet are always firmly connected with a wide foot and the threaded rod attached to it. The material of the machine feet is always steel or stainless steel. Plastic is also used for such feet.

What are machine feet actually? This is a question that people who have less to do with mechanical engineering than those who have to do with the industry ask themselves. Machine feet made of steel, stainless steel or plastic are indispensable today, because every piece of equipment, every table that has to stand exactly and is made of stainless steel and used in the food industry, usually has to be aligned with 4 machine feet in order to ensure good stability. But we will come to this later in more detail. In this article we would also like to give you all the information about machine feet and show you the shapes and sizes that are used as common sizes in all areas of equipment and machine construction. We would also like to explain to you how machine feet can be used as levelling instruments and also how machine feet can be constructed. In the following section we will also go into our stock of feet for machines in more detail, in order to highlight which are the common sizes we can provide you with. We also talk about the materials used and in the last section we also talk about the production of machine feet in industrial production. But let us first start with how a machine foot is constructed. On one of these feet there is always a plate to ensure stability, which can come in various designs. On this plate there is always also a coupling to a threaded rod, which is either fixed from the foot to the threaded rod with a small locking screw, or in the raised version, also as a ball head and socket, which allows the connection. So these feet with a ball joint can also compensate very well for unevenness quickly, if the floor is not exactly straight or another unevenness would be the problem. The threaded rod can usually always be rotated separately from the machine foot, so that the levelling function must be carried out during the alignment of a machine or device. Once each of the individual machine feet has been fitted with a foot, they can simply be screwed into the existing threaded hole. It is extremely important that a lock nut is also included on each threaded rod. You can now use a spirit level to align the frame of the machine so that you can screw the different feet in or out, thus increasing or decreasing the position. After the machine frame has been optimally aligned by the machine feet and everything is in the water, the lock nuts on each of the feet can be tightened so that nothing wobbles or is loose. Once this leveling section is completed, the machine can be put into operation. As a rule, the materials used for the machine feet are always plastic plates or sheet steel joints or the cast high-quality stainless steel plates. These can be made of the alloys V2A or V4A.

Machine feet Stainless Steel Metal Plastic V2A V4AMachines today can no longer do without machine feet or leveling feet, because only these adjustable feet can still meet the demands of industry today. Thus, the sales and demand for such adjustment elements has tripled in recent years. As we have already been able to inform you, almost all technical devices today, whether aligned on the floor or as table devices on a table, are brought into alignment, because only in this way can devices function perfectly. In order to achieve this homogeneous state, it has become more and more important to be able to order these elements in sufficient quantity and quality in online shops. We deliver these products in all imaginable sizes and lengths, so that you can buy these parts in all possible materials in our online shop at a reasonable price. These materials include the heavy duty plastics as well as the steel machine feet and the stainless steel machine feet. So you should be able to find the right machine feet for every application in your company and also be able to buy them from us. To ensure that a purchase in our online shop can be made quickly and promptly, it is also important that security is provided at all times. This is an important aspect and so we have converted the entire domain to the secure SSL procedure. The production of machine feet

Machine feet Stainless Steel Metal Plastic V2A V4AKNow we come to the last, but not entirely uninteresting topic, the production of metal machine feet and plastic machine feet with a steel thread. In the following, we would like to discuss how the individual production stages or manufacturing steps required for the production of metal, or steel or stainless steel machine feet are dealt with. Each of these feet for a machine always consists of at least two separate components which, after production, have to be set together or assembled into a finished and functioning machine foot. The important levelling part is the threaded rod, which either has a hole, i.e. a threaded hole at the end to connect it to the disc base or a ball head, which can be placed in a pan in the disc head. This means that the ball heads can be used to compensate for inclined surfaces without any problems and the base of the disc stands firmly on the substrate without any tension. For economic reasons, the production of such threaded rods today is always carried out on CNC lathes coupled with a loader. The threaded rods are now stored in the balader and the CNC machine is set up and started. Then the CNC machine fetches the first threaded rod and starts the machining. The first thing to do is to screw the ball head to the end or to drill the threaded hole. At the further machine base production point the bar is now cut off. This can be collected via the collecting container. The production of a steel plate is carried out in a similar operation as the production of the threaded rod. The production of a machine base where the plate base is made of a plastic material, a process called injection moulding is used. A metal mould must be made, which is then clamped with two mould halves on an injection moulding machine. Now the extruder can pump the liquid plastic compounds under high pressure into the mould and fill everything. After cooling, the mould halves are opened and the finished machine base can be removed. Now the final assembly of the individual parts to the finished machine base can take place. The threaded rod is fitted with a nut and then pressed into the socket of the machine foot plate. The connection is made. If the connection is made possible by a small screw, it is screwed in. If enough machine feet are made of plastic or steel or stainless steel, they can be stored in our warehouse. If your order arrives now, we can send the goods directly to you.
